Policies at Aysgarth Station Bed & Breakfast
The following policies have been put in place to ensure the best lodging experience for our guests at our bed and breakfast in Bar Harbor, Maine near Acadia National Park.
Reservation & Deposit Policy: For reservations, please call 207-288-9655 or use the online reservation service. Reservations for the summer and fall are recommended well in advance, but occasionally rooms are available on short notice.
A deposit is required to secure a reservation. A stay of one night requires full payment of the room rate for the deposit. A stay of two or more nights requires a deposit equal to 50% of the total room charges. The deposit can be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) or by check if received within ten days of the initial reservation. The use of a gift certificate of any kind MUST be indicated at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy: Deposits will be refunded, less a $25 processing fee if cancellation is received more than 14 days prior to arrival date; if the cancellation is within 14 days of the arrival date, a refund will only be made if the room can be rented for the entire length of your reservation. Early departures cannot be refunded unless we can fill the space for the remainder of your reservation. Rates are subject to a 9% Maine sales tax (to be added to room rate), and any balance due is payable upon arrival.
Room Rates: Posted room rates do not include 9% room tax and are subject to change. Rates are based on one or two guests per room.
Number of Guests per Room: Due to zoning restrictions, each room is limited to two guests.
Breakfast: A full breakfast is included in the room rate and is served between 8 – 9 am. A bag breakfast to-go is available on request with 24 hours’ notice.
Check In & Check Out: You may check in anytime from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Please call ahead if you will be arriving later, so appropriate arrangements can be made. Check out is by 11:00 am.
WE ARE A SMOKE-FREE INN! And because of the age of the house and the closeness of homes in downtown Bar Harbor, we do not allow the burning of candles of any kind in the guest rooms or anywhere on the inn property.
Pets: We are unable to accept pets, but we do have two cats in residence, Fred and Pip. Our cats are not allowed upstairs and do not enter the guest rooms.
Parking: Free parking is available to our guests. We have a long driveway and do stacked parking. We ask you to leave your keys in case we need to shuffle cars. Limited street parking is available for fee in the summer.
Discounts: We offer a discount with a chimani perk pass and an extended stay discount for visits lasting more than 7 days. Discounts cannot be combined.
